National Welfare Organization (NWO) is a registered non-governmental, non-political, and non-profit social welfare organization. National Welfare Organization (NWO) is registered in 2011 with the office of the Directorate of Social Welfare, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan.
As an umbrella organization of the area, the N.W.O aims at challenging and eliminating discriminatory approaches and to become a role model for the community. To become such an organization the N.W.O staff members commit themselves to uphold the following values.
o The dignity of all staff members both women and men will be respected at all times and circumstances.
o Equal personal development opportunities will be provided to women and men.
o Developing team work, ownership and mutual support mechanism.
o Provision of enabling environment to women and man
National Welfare Organization (NWO) has been working for the vast welfare of the humanity without any discrimination. N.W.O calls for empowering the community.
NWO Mission
Keeping in view the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Pakistan Vision 2025, the NWO aims for capacity building, training and providing opportunities to the people of Pakistan. One of the main aims of SDGs is promotion of a just, peaceful and inclusive society and NWO emphasizes on building capacity to achieve this goal in Pakistan, which is direly needed because of the lack of individual capacity building around Pakistan.
Objectives
NWO aims for;
o To provide opportunities to and facilitate the under-privileged communities, address human rights issues, promote peace prospects and address conflicts at the micro and macro level.
o N.W.O aspires to specialized in transitioning programs from relief to sustainable development in conflict and post conflict environments.
o Awareness, and advocacy programs, training for youth, women empowerment, peacebuilding and conflict transformation.
o To provide a platform for students, teachers training, practitioners practices, capacity building and leaderships skills in different sections of the society.
